The projector has inputs for VGA, RCA, USB and HDMI.

There are 2 hanging points for the projector; one is for projecting on a screen placed in front of the stage with a HDMI cable running to the FOH booth. The other hanging point is for projecting on the stage rear wall, it has a HDMI cable running to the monitor booth (side of stage), and cannot be controlled from the FOH booth. Any other cables or adaptors needed to convert the playing device outputs will need to be provided.

Please note that in the event of a drummer being positioned on the drum riser, center stage, they will be covering most of the screen area for the on stage, rear wall projection. For most full band events, this is not ideal and is usually decided against as it can be distracting for the bands. Unfortunately, due to the low ceiling, there is no alternative viewpoint for on-stage projections.

DAMAGES

If the client causes any damages to venue equipment, the venue will hold a bond from ticket sales to cover repair costs and will issue an invoice outlining these costs.

LoaD In & Parking

The venue’s access is via 5 Winn Lane, Fortitude Valley, QLD, 4005. Walk up the laneway till you see on your right a wide tall set of stairs that leads up to the side stage green room doors. If the doors are not open, please contact your in-house engineer.

There is no designated parking for the venue however there is a loading zone on Winn Street.

Street parking can be found on McLachlan St (adjacent to Winn St) and on smaller surrounding streets. Please pay close attention to parking signs and don’t park in car parks belonging to neighboring businesses as they can be tow away zones and will be very costly (and inconvenient).

The McWhirters Secure car park directly across Ann St (accessible via Warner St and Ballow St) offers reasonable rates if booked ahead of arrival.

LOAD OUT

Gear must be taken at the end of the night and the band room must be cleared by 1 hour after the show. Additional charges may apply if load out exceeds this timeframe as in-house staff are required to work overtime.

There is a separate DJ booth at the back of the room, adjacent to the bar. Decks can be moved to the stage or used at the DJ booth. Outputs can run through the smaller DJ booth PA listed below, or through the FOH console and into the main PA.

Additional Backline Requirements

If additional backline is required, artists are to organise at their own expense. A list of local hire companies is available upon request.

All bands are encouraged to look at sharing backline. This will minimise changeover times and assist with making the night run smoothly.
