Just back from their howling tour of Alaska, the windy peaks of Mexico and the cruise of the deep pacific, the Wolf, Condor and Shark (JC, Bish and Hoggie) wish to invite you to the inaugural Predators Christmas Show, with furry guests "The Cairos", "Danny Widdicombe & the Good 'ol Boys" and Karl S Williams at "The Zoo" (no not Alma Park Zoo) in Ann Street Fortitude Valley, Saturday 7th December.
Watch the skies, don't go into the woods and stay well away from the breakers, this will be a prowling good time. Tickets through www.thezoo.com.au & Oztix.com.au ( Doors 8pm , Predators 9.45pm).
"Who are the predators you ask?
WOLF John Collins (JC) and SHARK Ian Haug (Hoggie) once of Powderfinger met one CONDOR Steven Bishop (Bish) aka dagwood Stevens (also once of Powderfinger) when they were in shortpants. These musical rovers joined up again for an EP in the naughties "Pick Up the Pace' (universal) and are now testing new songs for their forthcoming ALBUM.
For the uninitiated, The Zoo is Brisbanes' most long standing live music venue/nightclub.
We cater to the more independant end of the musical spectrum, and are open Wednesdays - Saturdays, and some Sundays. In any week you could see anything from beats, hip hop, jazz, rock, and pop to acoustic, folk, dub and reggae.
Depending on which direction you are coming from, there are many public transport options to The Zoo.
Take the train to Fortitude Valley Station. Walk 50m to Wickham Street, take either Brunswick Street Mall or Warner Street and walk until you reach Ann Street, which runs parallel to Wickham Street. We are located at 711 Ann St, which is directly across the lights from Kathmandu store and the Warner Street Carpark.
If you are coming from the CBD you can take several buses that will pass through Fortitude Valley and are walking distance from The Zoo.
Bus stops located closest to The Zoo are 203 / 204 / 205 (Warner St) and 211 / 202/ 207 / 210 (Brunswick St) and 228/ 229 (Wickham St).
